Alicia Augello Cook (born January 25, 1981 in New York City, New York) is an American R&B singer, songwriter, and record producer who has sold over 50 million albums and 40 million singles worldwide, becoming the highest-selling female R&B artist in the U.S. and second highest-selling female R&B artist in the U.S. behind Beyoncé Knowles.
