Simply Red biography

Simply Red are a British soul music and pop music band which formed in Manchester in 1985 and have sold over 50 million albums in the United Kingdom, including the number-one albums Picture Book (Simply Red album) (1985) and Stars (Simply Red album) (1991), as well as the number-one singles "Holding Back the Years" and "If You Don't Know Me by Now", both of which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. The lead vocalist of the band is Mick Hucknall, who, by the time the band initially disbanded in 2010, was the only original member left. The band re-formed in 2015.
